Each holiday season, Roque & Mark looks for meaningful ways to support the communities we serve. One tradition that continues to bring us together is our annual toy drive benefiting Spark of Love, a program dedicated to delivering joy to underserved children and teens across Southern California.
In 2025, Spark of Love celebrates its 33rd year as one of the region’s most impactful holiday giving initiatives. Hosted by the County of Los Angeles Fire Department in partnership with ABC7, Toys for Tots, and Southern California firefighters, Spark of Love has collected and distributed nearly 11 million toys throughout its history. Its mission remains simple and powerful: to ensure children and teens in need experience the joy of the holiday season.
Roque & Mark has proudly supported Spark of Love for many years by hosting an annual in-office toy collection each December. What began as a small act of generosity has grown into a longstanding company tradition. Each year, toys are donated by tenants, property owners, vendors, handymen, contractors, staff, and friends, demonstrating how much can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
“This annual toy drive is a reminder that minor acts of generosity, when shared by many, can create lasting joy for families throughout our community,” said Zina Markevicius, Co-President of Roque & Mark. “We’re proud to support Spark of Love and the community that makes this tradition possible.”
This year, our office has once again been filled with toys and gifts. Contributions have included books, puzzles, stuffed animals, dolls, action figures, games, and sports-related items. Members of the Roque & Mark team will deliver the collected toys to a local Santa Monica fire station, where they will be distributed to nonprofit organizations and families throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside counties.
The continued success of Roque & Mark’s toy drive is a reflection of the generosity within our community. We are deeply appreciative of everyone who contributes, as each donation plays a role in making the holidays brighter for children who might otherwise go without.
While Roque & Mark’s in-office collection wraps up before the holidays, Spark of Love continues to accept donations throughout the season. In 2025, community members can support the drive by dropping off new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment at their local neighborhood fire station or donating online to support toy and equipment purchases.
As we look ahead, Roque & Mark remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen our community and uplift those in need. Our annual toy drive for Spark of Love is one way we strive to make a lasting impact.
