Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica Wraps Up their Summer
With the summer coming to a close, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica wraps up their summer programming. Thanks to the support of Roque & Mark, as well as other generous contributors, over 600 children have made lifelong memories this summer.
Some of the programs highlighted by Brynja Seagren, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica, included “hiking along Malibu Creek, learning about leadership and technology through a partnership with the Santa Monica Police Department, creating a weekly newspaper through Photojournalism Club, going rock climbing, visiting the Getty Villa, and playing T-ball. 38 kids also learned to swim through a partnership with the YMCA!”
Parents sent their kids to the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica assured that their children were in great hands, and the kids were able to participate in these engaging activities and experiences, plus many more. The Boys & Girls Club provides necessary services to communities across the country, providing opportunities that many children would not have otherwise had access to. They uplift future generations through their programs.
The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica is focused on providing support to community members who need it. Its ultimate goal is to teach, support, and empower the youth to prepare them for lifelong success. Through the generous donations of their supporters, including Roque & Mark, The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica is able to create strong foundations for local children by teaching healthy habits, social-emotional well-being, service leadership, and much more. Roque & Mark has sponsored the Boys & Girls Club for several years and particularly supported on-site learning during the COVID-19 school shutdowns.
