There’s Still Time for Summer Fun in Santa Monica
Summer in Santa Monica means sunshine, ocean breezes, beautiful parks, and plenty happening around the city. Even as August winds down, there are still concerts, festivals, and other activities worth adding to your calendar. As a company that has been part of the Santa Monica community for years, we’re excited to share some of the events that make the city such a great place to call home.

Tongva Twilight: Sounds & Cinema
Looking for a fun summer evening that won’t break the bank? Head to Tongva Park for Tongva Twilight: Sounds & Cinema, a free outdoor series celebrating live music, movies, and community.
Taking place every Saturday through September 12, the series features a lineup of musicians and performers at Tongva Park, with the Pacific Ocean just steps away. Upcoming performances include Son Mayor, a high-energy salsa band performing on August 22, followed by a DJ set from Mayer Hawthorne on August 29. The series wraps up in September with two special evenings combining live music and film.
Bring a picnic, grab a spot on the lawn, and settle in for an evening under the stars. Movie nights will also feature complimentary popcorn while supplies last.

If you’re looking for something a little bigger, Santa Monica is welcoming a brand-new music festival to the beach this September. On September 26 and 27, the city is partnering with Goldenvoice, the team behind Coachella and Stagecoach, to bring the Ocean Way Festival to Santa Monica Beach.
The two-day festival will feature live music along the beach, with the event stretching between the Santa Monica Pier and Bay Street and extending onto the Pier Event Deck. The festival will also include collaborations with Santa Monica artists, businesses, and restaurants.
The festival runs from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sunday. For residents, it’s a chance to experience a major new event right in our own backyard.
Year-Round Fun
Of course, you don’t need a special event to find something to do in Santa Monica. The city’s farmers markets are open year-round, offering fresh produce, prepared foods, local goods, and more.
Santa Monica has three farmers markets: Downtown, Pico, and Main Street. Each has its own character, with seasonal produce, prepared foods, and artisan vendors. They’re an easy weekend stop, whether you’re shopping for the week or simply browsing the stalls.
The city’s parks are another year-round favorite. With green spaces throughout Santa Monica, residents can find plenty of places to walk, picnic, play, exercise, or take a break from the bustle of the city.
These everyday amenities, along with Santa Monica’s vibrant events calendar, are part of what makes the city such a special place to live. Whether you’ve called Santa Monica home for years or are still getting to know the area, there’s always something new to discover.
